Steve Holden

Steve Holden brought you the Weather at Five with Action Live!” with luminous teeth and slightly shiny suits. He teased “Sun today but rain is in the forecast, I’ll tell you when,” when the chance of rain was ten days in the future, but the life of a meteorologist is one in flux. When the air was warm he had to focus on the next cool down, when spring rain fell he let you know when things would dry out. As winter set in Steve inevitably said “I’ll let you know how long these chilly conditions will last,” and eventually started mentally tagging on “three months.”

Steve Holden drove a gun metal Jaguar that matched most of his suits, with a tan interior that matched his hair. One day when filling it with gas he caught himself thinking “A full tank now but we can expect to be on E in about 500 miles or so.” He planned dinner as he ate lunch and on Friday afternoon he was already saying "Back to work on Monday," shaking his head. It was hellish being a weather man.
